Dear Friends of CSM:
“Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me bless His holy name! For he has done great things, bless His holy name!”
I’ve had this classic praise chorus, inspired by Psalm 103, on my heart these days. When you are going through challenges, is good to remember God’s goodness and faithfulness. The harder the circumstances, the greater the need for gratitude and praise. Worship raises our vision off our problems and limitations and fixes our eyes on the Lord: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Merciful, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace … our Deliverer, Provider, Sustainer, Savior, and Friend.
In the midst of significant challenges, opposition, and transition over the past 30 months, those of us on the CSM Team have not only cried out to God, but we are remembering to praise Him for the great things He has already done. We are thankful for the mission He has entrusted to us: “Restoring the Generational Bridge.” We are thankful that He has sustained us during the most SIGNIFICANT transition in the history of our ministry. We are thankful that He has given us a future and a hope. This is a pivotal moment in our history.
As we have been sharing with you, God is opening new doors for ministry outreach to us, even as we have faced unprecedented financial challenges. For example, we are developing a new app for our Bible Study Curriculum, “The Covenant and the Kingdom.” This app, which we plan to offer free of charge, will be available worldwide, IN MANY LANGUAGES, and will bring 126 systematic Bible Study lessons from 7 foundational units of study. These lessons were developed by a core team of theologians, pastors, teachers, and communicators over a period of 40 years, up until the present moment.
We continue to expand our FREE audio and video resources via our CSMPublishing YouTube Channel and our Charles Simpson Ministries Spotify Channel. We are reaching whole new generations of Christ seekers with relevant content … timeless, but timely. Through God’s grace and your prayer and financial support, we are preserving and enhancing the ministry legacy of my father, while also creating new resources to meet the critical hour in which we live. We are also reaching new people far beyond our traditional ministry sphere.
At the same time, in addition to financial challenges, my wife, Susanne, and I have faced life-or-death health challenges. I’m so grateful that the Lord has miraculously provided me with a matching kidney donor, my longtime friend Grant Simpson and we came through successful transplant earlier this year. Please continue praying. For almost three years. I have been very restricted in my ministry travels, speaking, and personal visits, but I see this as a time re-tooling and preparation for what God has ahead for me to do. In the meantime, I am making lots of phone calls, writing many notes and letters, and conducting Zoom videos with groups of friends. I am so looking forward to seeing you face-to-face again!
Susanne and I are so thankful for our new CSM Board of Directors: Tim Parish (Louisville, Kentucky), Jim Pellerin (Columbus, Ohio), and Matt Sartor (Austin, Texas), who have provided us with wisdom, encouragement, and prayer cover. We also continue to thank the Lord for our good friends who served CSM so well as our previous longtime Board: Michael Coleman, Larry Grainger, Ronald Gray, and Dwayne Higgason. All of these friends remind us of God’s lovingkindness.
